I was stay in Aloft Hotel in January for business and was a nice experience, is very well located in downtown Orlando near to nice restaurants and nightlife in downtown,
The rooms are very nice not to big not to small those have all what you need for example coffee maker, water, a little fridge, iron, a little desk with wi-fi connection very fast and free.
The only complain I have the hot water in the shower was not work very well.
The bar is very nice too, they have an excellent drinks and snacks too, teh breakfast in the morning is ok, but have an extra cost.
Overall my stay was good the employees are very friendly and nice.—— anatayla
Not only was the staff at Aloft very friendly but I was pleased when I saw how large our hotel room was. The room could have been a small loft apartment. It has a very minimalist contemporary feel. The hotel is also within walking distance from the downtown nightlife. We are definitely going to be staying here again in the future.—— AK859
I was the best man in a wedding this past weekend and had a fantastic time at Aloft. It was comfortable, nice and clean. The staff were great and super friendly. After the wedding, the wedding party enjoyed time at the hotel bar and had great service and a great time.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!—— Doug R
Alofts can be quite the "cookie-cutter" hotel - when you have stayed in one, you've stayed in just about all of them. They sort of resemble the offspring of a W Hotel mating with an Ikea... That said, the Aloft in Orlando was a cut above the others in which I have stayed. It is a brand new hotel, which doesn't hurt. It is right down the street from the bustling downtown area, so it is an easy walk to the major business centers downtown, as well as dozens of excellent places to eat. The hotel has some excellent suites, with much more room than I have been accustomed to in the past. While some of the points made in the negative reviews here are accurate (faces highway, no restaurant, etc.), this is an Aloft - it's a room with 4 walls and a comfy bed. As far as Alofts go, it's a great one.—— hegartnw
Went to Orlando for a concert at Amway Center. This is within walking distance to the arena. Great location! This is a brand new hotel and decorated with a totally modern feel. Our room was spacious but was 'stark' feeling and cold (feeling). The bed was very comfortable. The staff was beyond superb! Especially Marian at the front desk. This girl was superior with her customer service! Great job! Although there was nothing wrong with the hotel, we tend to like more soft and comfortable atmosphere.—— damily
We enjoyed our stay at the Aloft in downtown Orlando. It was within walking distance of wonderful restaurants and bars. It was contemporary themed and the staff were very helpful suggesting restaurants and the valet parking was great too.—— sarahb2011-12
The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The entire hotel is clean and boasts an open floorplan. The bar and limited menu from the kitchen was perfect for an after work drink and light fare.
We held a business meeting for 40 people comfortably in the meeting facilities. Nice room and the technology worked as planned!
I truly enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend to others.—— BusinessTraveler60BP
For those who can manage without a full service dining experience in their hotel, but value excellent service, updated amenities, and streamlined style, they can do no better than the new Aloft Hotel in downtown Orlando. Book online, certainly, but don't hesitate to call the hotel directly for updated hotel information, a better deal, or any kind of assistance. And once you arrive, expect friendly and swift service, from the parking attendants who sprint to the carpark and back, to the front desk--special kudos to Robin who checked us in with a lovely room upgrade and then never failed to greet us and ask how she could help us when we ran into her in the elevator or corridor. Be sure to stop by the bar for a soda or a cocktail and meet Louis, among the best bartenders we have encountered in the city. Comfortable beds, interesting city views, great shower, spacious rooms--and did we say clean? Our only request---and please, this is not a complaint, we understand how new gadgets or protocols take time to master---get that technology for texting the valet park service working! The valet staff is more then willing to have your car waiting for you at the curb, but the device still has some kinks, and they don't always get the message you send from your cell phone. Great idea, though! Kudos all around. David and Wendy G—— David_Frostproof
I can not give the hotel anything lower than a 5. I checked in last night. I was welcomed by Miriam, she was extraordinary, what a personable individual! Aloft is lucky to have her! I have to say that I've never seen such accommodating, genuinely nice staff at a Starwood hotel before. The location is fantastic! You are right downtown, walking distance to everything. The rooms are very updated. The one thing I did not love was that there is no room service or sit down restaurant in the hotel where you can get breakfast, however there is a grab and go by the front desk and plenty of restaurants walking distance... I recommend for those in the search of a good hotel downtown Orlando to stay at Aloft!—— Anabel_0210
I stayed at the ALOFT hotel the evening of February 11 and promptly checkout the next morning and moved to The Grand Bohemian property in downtown Orlando. This was my first experience with the ALOFT brand and will be my last. Bottom line, ALOFT is a Holiday Inn’d dummying down of the W brand. It wraps cheap and minimalist into a well marketed and branded package. This particular property is new – so it’s clean and for the most part fresh. I give the team credit; they’ve redeveloped an old corporate building into an interesting architectural output. But as a frequent business traveler I was completely disappointed in this hotel. The lobby has a “hip” bar. But below the surface is an incredibly basic hotel that is completely overpriced. It’s a two pillow, one pencil on the desk, hope your clothes aren’t wrinkled because there is no iron kind of hotel. You better not forget a toiletry or want any type of concierge service. And that would be fine if you were staying at a Fairfield Inn but for $229 a night, I was gleeful to leave and move to a true full service hotel with a sense for the small touches that makes business travel more tolerable. I would only recommend this hotel if you got a competitive rate and were prepared for bare bones experience you will get.—— TravelingWithWhit
